i thought it was beautiful. the camera movements are like her reflections in the mirror. the comparisons to the brilliant 'the red shoes'. the incredible ballet costumes by amy wescott and laura and kate mulleavy of rodarte. the blink and you miss special effects where tattoos move and bird-like goosebumps appear. the sound of her breathing whilst she dances. yes it was psychotic and scary. yes i shut my eyes and refused to watch a few things, but yes i thought natalie portman was incredible.
