what do you think?

am thinking that maybe next winter, i might go redhead! cant do it now as im about to hit the sun, but this lady has seriously inspired me...

taylor tomasi-hill works for us marie claire and is probably one of the most stylish people in new york. i reckon her natural colour is a mousy brown, but as a redhead i bet she is a major head turner. go on dare me...

joe maer

joe maer is a prop stylist and food stylist from new york. there is not a single thing i would have done differently in the photos (from his portfolio) above. the colours, the mixture of new and old, the colections of things but not too much clutter. artwork, photographs, fabrics, plants. the spiral globe lamp on the 70s sideboard with the vintage cross above. surfboard propped up next to a hide rug. vintage trunks with a horse mask and neon signage. cactus under a glass cake stand, hats on the wall, white marble kitchen counter-top, amazing blue curtains. i could go on and on. theres some inspiration in here for everyone!! www.joemaer.com

zzzzz

literally the only thing that makes me happy at the moment is sleeping. i come home, and dive into bed, and then when my alarm goes off in the morning i curse the fact that its not a sunday. i love my job, but i am sooooooooo soooooo so exhausted. and i am pretty sure i deserve my little sun break even if its just for a couple of lie-ins! had these bedroom pics for a while now, so not sure where i swiped them from, but all look heavenly!

love this winter look

are you kidding me???

apparently this girl (a 14 year old american called tavi) is a style icon in the fashion world, who also gets to sit front row at all the shows and receives regular goody bags from designers. w t ffffffff? are you serious? a) she looks hideous. b) she makes ugly betty look trendy. c) wtf.
so i checked out her blog, which is how she got so big, and ok shes got some good inspiration what with picture research, film stills and literature. and she regularly updates. so i found myself browsing her site for quite a while. but still, there is no way these designers, some of which make the most beautiful, incredible and gorgeous clothes youve ever seen, can think that she is in any way near to being as inspiring as people like chloe sevigny, diane kruger, anna dello russo, emanuelle alt, etc etc. and so it pisses me off that the fashion industry has projected this teenager into such a position that she gets to enjoy things that im pretty sure others have worked harder for longer for nothing and to get nowhere. there ive said it. devil wears prada.

world of interiors

move over vogue, theres a new magazine at the top of my monthly shopping list. i was asked to buy the october issue of 'world of interiors' to get supplier information for some props that we needed. something we had been looking for in all the shops and endless hours of googleing, was right there, genius... so im hooked now. and not only for the random prop needs, but the gorgeous interior/house/garden/photography inspiration. hes a sample to pass on the love...
