the virgin suicides

during my third year of university whilst studying photography, i did a photo project that looked very feminine and dreamy. during my critique, the professor mentioned that some of my photographs reminded him of sofia copola's virgin suicides. that one comment changed everything. i suddenly realised what my style was, as up until that point i had been trying various different things, only some of which felt right. this scene below of Lux waking up in the middle of the football field in the early morning is my favourite part of the film. the dawn light, her hair flipped over, her white dress and pale skin, the grass and the small depth of field. ps how cool is the name Lux?
