flights are booked, i leave in december, and without a doubt ill be laying on the beaches watching a lot of surfers for most of my time there. im sure ill get in there myself but the ocean does scare me a little, and so id rather leave it to the pros...These pics were from an exhibition “SurfLand” at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts by the photographer Joni Sternbach. She used a 19th-century wooden camera and a wet-plate technique to create the portraits. Gorgeous.
