loving the gym...whattt??
a week ago i joined a gym. except this one is not just any old gym, its a virgin active gym. its pretty goddamn awesome. and i hate gyms, but ill say it again...its AWESOME! firstly its massive, then its also new and clean and nicely designed. it has tonnes of classes so i never have to worry about keeping myself motivated alone. then it has 6 powerplates that are available for everyone to use whenever they like ( none of this £25 a half hour session that you pay in harrods). its above the twickenham rugby ground, so hot rugby types wandering around all the time. then theres the showers and changing rooms, white towels for everyone, massive powershowers with molton brown shampoo, cond and gel. hairdryers, moistrurizer, massive lockers. wow i could go on and on, infact they should probably pay me to blabber on about them because im like a walking advert.
so the mission is on, dec 13th, i need to have a bikini body by then. since ive started ive had an achy body every night, which feels good because i know something is happening! now i know ill never be a skinny minny model twiglet.... because ive got one big booty. so the following lady is my inspiration....shes toned in all the right places, slim yet curvy, seriously sexy and womanly, yet not a protruding bone in sight.
plus im secretly loving keeping up with the karshadians! shhh.

alexandra golovanoff
alexandra golovanoff is a french fashion journo, and she has just become my new beauty inspiration... in the winter i look like death. jaundice, pasty, scruffy, saggy, but from now on (and maybe after a visit to the bobbi brown counter on sunday) it is my mission to always look as healthy and natural and sparkly as ag.

canadian love
theres a new blog ill be checking out on a regular basis... www.canadianlove.wordpress.com... my old roomy, patti, from toronto, canada has started her own blog! im loving the design for a start, its totally putting my simple and boring layout to shame. and literally nodding my head in agreement with everything she writes about. im thinking that my next post should be about how much i love canada tho because even the title of her blog makes me miss it!!
kinda
so today i kinda met martin scorsese, and i have to talk about it somewhere, so here it is. ive been looking for a stills camera for a while now at work. but because it needed to have a shutter and be circa 1897, it was harder than you think! so found a gorgeous 1880 george hare full plate camera, and then marty decided that he wanted to play the photographer on film as a mini mini cameo, so we went to show it to him. so this is how it went...we set it up, he wandered over we showed him how it works, he smiled at me, we finished, he wandered away. so maybe not as cool as a handshake, or a nice to meet you, but im pretty happy with the smile!

how does your garden grow?
if youre lucky enough to have a patio or even better a garden, then this is truly how to work it! lanterns, a mish mash of chairs, white tablecloths, flowers from your garden, fairylights strung from trees, bamboo gazeebos and lots of friends to party the night away with a jug of sangria or pimms. i also think the same approach should go for your wedding reception...why go for china and silver and fancy things which have nothing to do with your personal taste? i think a wedding reception should essentially be a gigantic garden party!!

pugs!
clare sent me this picture of gorgeous pugs on friday... and yes i still want one! but puppies are deffo more work than i thought...my work colleague brings her mini daschund in maybe twice every week, and it leaves poos under peoples desk, and you cant walk to another office without people stopping to gush or cuddle it. but then maybe its like other peoples babies, they are cute and adorable and hillarious, but you cant wait to give them back. but its prob different when you have one of your own right? plus id train it not to poo inside, coz i think its kinda gross. and i can always share it with a bf and then they can deal with the poos!
costa rica baby
flights are booked, i leave in december, and without a doubt ill be laying on the beaches watching a lot of surfers for most of my time there. im sure ill get in there myself but the ocean does scare me a little, and so id rather leave it to the pros...
These pics were from an exhibition “SurfLand” at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts by the photographer Joni Sternbach. She used a 19th-century wooden camera and a wet-plate technique to create the portraits. Gorgeous.

one more post before bed
body inspiration
i wish this was enough to inspire me to put the chocolate down, stand in tree pose for 5 seconds longer and skin brush after every shower. but the truth is, i still dont think id ever look like this. for a start id be miserable watching everyone else around me eat cake. secondly im pretty sure jen has a chef and personal trainer to whip her into shape. so unless anyone wants to take me on as a challenge and wants to follow me to shepperton studios everyday and feed me lentils, i guess im going to have to just live with being a bit flabby.
shes found a goodie...
whats the blog equivalent of retweet???
my bezzy, tegan, from http://teganlikes.blogspot.com/ just posted about a photoshoot from german vogue (december issue) with sam taylor wood and aaron johnson. now i have to admit ive always been a bit weirded out by the age gap. i just used to imagine myself in that situation and i just think the awkwardness would be too much for me, who makes the first move, and would you not just feel massively pervy? but after looking at these photos, i suddenly felt this massive pang of jealousy. you can almost feel the intense love and chemistry bouncing off the pages. yes bruce weber is a genius, but they certainly do look beautiful together.
someday my prince will come!

lc
theres something about her life, her clothes, her tan, her la lifestyle, her boys, her hair, that i absolutely want. i know a lot of it is not real (its a tv show krysh!) but i still want it. im sure the fact that its blusterry and drizzly in grey and dingy old london that makes me want it more, but im sure theres something to be said about vitamin d from the sun that makes you generally happier and prettier!
