lost in props

other people get engrossed in books, or spend hours in the gym, or frequent pubs and restaurants... i on the other hand am in heaven in a musty warehouse in acton, filled to the ceiling with props going back to 1900...

i was doing some research on serge gainsbourg the other day, and whilst i am shocked at how he managed to get jane birkin (although apparently he was very charming poetic and romantic) because he really isnt attractive to me...however they take the most gorgeous photo, and so no wonder there are so many incredible pics of them from the 70s. not only that but jane birkins daughters are gorgeous, no wonder though when thats your mum! fascinating.

taxidermist?

polly morgan is a brit taxidermy artist. pretty awesome style, and her studio is amazing. not sure if i could have that many dead animals staring at me, but her magpie phone is crazy cool. i love her vintage style with her furniture too.

oh kate, you can do no wrong. still might go out and purchase this copy of vogue homme for my personal collection, but managed to steal it from the office yesterday for one night to scan the pages to put up here. photos are by mario sorrenti, and the (minimal) styling is by emanuelle alt from paris vogue. from seeing these a-mazing photographs, not only do i want to be somewhere extremely warm, but i also want to start shooting film again... now i just need a new muse! ... anyone??

i dont care how many gorgeous gay models wear them in the pages on vogue homme. i still just cant force myself to like them. even the coloured ones (which are definately a million miles better than the brown ones, but still). to me they will always and forever scream snobby snobby and snobby.

now there are flash-forwards?? and ive just read something online about the connection between LOST and the new channel 5 program Flash Forward. YIKES.

lost about LOST

currently a bit obsessed. ive been doing back to back episodes, but i think thats the only way to really do a series, because you understand it better without having to wait a week for the next episode. still very lost though, have no clue whats going on, but think that the writers behind it are pretty genius. making sure that ive seen all the seasons before the final ever episode airs. dont want to know what happens before im upto date!!
