my chum stef turned 30 on thursday. since december ive been filming, planning and editing this little number to send as a mini birthday present from all of us at home:

bucket list

after watching lots of footage that has been posted all over facebook about sarah burkes death, it only confirmed something that i have been thinking about recently. i look at her and rory bushfield, and thats what i want. someone who is passionate about exactly the same things as i am. they are beautiful together. i dont see the point on being with someone forever unless that person gets you completely. and so, this year, im not going to care if the boys i meet fizzle out and turn into morons. this year, im going to focus on my other love. seeing the world, being spontaneous and travelling to places that ive never been before. even if thats just a weekend down in cornwall. ive already booked a weekend away to krakow and i also made a long bucket list. this year is going to be awesome, and hopefully the rest will fall into place!

heartbreaking

sarah burke was a freeskier from whistler. she did so much for girl skiing and campaigned to get girl pipe in the next winter olympics. she sadly died this week from a ski accident.

i used to feel this way about beyonce. i still love b, but at the mo, im a bit obsessed with riri. and what makes me love her more is that she is 5"9 (me too me too) i love her style, her confidence and her toons! i am obsessed with her panther swimsuit!

I was on the kings rd yesterday and so stopped into the proud gallery to check out the Terry O'Neill pics. I met terry a few times whilst i was working at marie claire, as he did a monthly mother & daughter portrait for our back page. How ridiculously amazing is this picture? Taken the morning after Faye Dunaway won the best actress oscar in the 70s. Its quite pricey at over a thousand... but am quite seriously thinking that because I love it so much, it might be a good investment!? any thoughts?

saturday in manhattan meant one thing for me... check out the flea markets. first stop hells kitchen, then onto the antiques garage....





random purchases i know, but the hat was a bargain at $10, and the glass lemon was just so cute i couldnt say no at $5!

john derian

i then made my way to soho to check out the john derian store, to only find out that it was shut on mondays! annoyingly i never had a chance to return but couldnt help but snapping some of the delights that were on display in the windows!



essentially john derian is a decoupage artist, and the images are printed onto wrapping paper, paper weights, trays, plates, postcards etc. you can now buy pieces in liberty in london.

however, what with baggage allowance and an entire week left for yet more shopping, my only purchase in the store was this brilliant dish...


ill be putting it right next to the oven hobs in my new flat to rest those spoons whilst cooking! "rest in grease" ha, love it!
