i posted a bit of a hotel review this time last year after i stayed at the amazing Loden hotel in vancouver. now the reason for mentioning this is because today i was on the hunt for a hotel room in Melbourne, oz. in doing so, i just happened to come across this baby: The Blackman on St. Kilda Rd. Its got an edgy, boutique feel to it, and showcases Australian artist Charles Blackman's work. The interior design is inspired by the paintings and perfectly complement them. such a gorgeous hotel, with rooms to keep me inspired and sleeping soundly! if only i had the money to stay in more places like this! or even better, if only someone could send me to australia to do another hotel/travel review!

art of attraction
without looking like a perv or a lezza, i absolutely love this photo (by cass bird). its extremely cool, funny and sexy! its from an exhibition on at the moment at the float gallery in new york. the exhibiton showcases a mix of photographs that capture the themes of attraction and sexual desire and what some people do in order to be seen as physically attractive to the opposite sex.

michals sofa
my brother bought a sofa about a year ago, and i guess what i want to say is that i was never that keen on it (sorry mich if you read this). however... i saw something today that has completely changed my mind.
i love this. and the sofa is very very similar. i think this pic goes to show that a few lime neon green cushions can go a long way!

owls
im currently working on a film thats set in the 70's. im buying props and researching styles, and i keep finding owls everywhere, EVERYWHERE! what was it with the 70's and owls?
and then what do i notice when i walk past selfridges... owl cushions. i guess it makes sense considering 70s fashion is big for this spring/summer!
then when i was at ardingly antiques market i found this beauty just as i was leaving... an owl plant pot for £10. its currently being used as my hairdryer/tongs/straightners pot until i move into my own bigger place!
