last week i went to an event about finding jobs outside of the corperate world, jobs that you enjoy, jobs that inspire you, jobs that are fun. there was a speaker there called alastair humphreys. he spent 4 years cycling around the world. he also walked the width of india, walked a lap of the m25, and he is currently training for his return trip to the southpole! ive got to admit, i fancied him quite a lot, i mean what an amazing life so far!! so anyway i gave my notice in for my job the next day and started my photo project 365. one photo every day for a year! this was the first photo, and i really should caption it...'out with the old in with the new'...

the golden globes have just been, the baftas have been announced and the oscars are soon. im itching to see up in the air, lovely bones, its complicated, the blind side, precious and a single man. wish i could see them all before they announce the winners, but hey ho. speaking of awards... equally entertaining... checking out who is wearing what/whom. below is probably my alltime favourite oscars outfit. although i probably wouldnt wear that particular shade of yellow and no doubt many people hated it, but i just thought it was daring, exciting, original and i loved her lipstick! i just love the whole thing. michelle williams at the 2006 oscars in vera wang.

xmas is the perfect time to catch up on films.... and so i went to see spike jonze's latest with my friend kate. personally i love kids fairytales/stories. and just loved this film. it was so beautiful with shots into the sun and in the forest. and we fell in love with max and ira. also loving the line "feed me woman" ...
