drive

went to see 'drive' last week, which not only renewed my love of ryan gosling, it also got me thinking of the upcoming oscar noms. this film has got to have a few in there, in particular: best actor. ps love the 80's vibe in it (note the neon pink type on the poster) and the soundtrack is awesome!

and heres a bit of ryan for your sunday afternoon...

and some more....

j crew

we spent a lot of time shopping in jcrew whilst in nyc. it really has some beautiful clothes. i wouldnt wear head to toe jcrew, but i bought some great basics that i would mix up with the rest of my wardrobe! there also happened to be a great article on the creative director jenna lyons in a recent issue of vogue.

the lightbox

for my brothers birthday i made him a lightbox. he had the gel samples from an old job, so i borrowed them and got the boys at work to help me. we cut the wood (oak from the 'HUGO' film set) sanded it, glued together, put a back on it and got it wired up by the spark. frosted acetate and glass sandwiched the gels and there you have some original artwork for your house. i love it and didnt really want to give it to him!
